Effective Hybrid Content-Based Collaborative Filtering Approach for Requirements Engineering

Requirements engineering (RE) is among the most valuable and critical processes in software development. The quality of this process significantly affects success a project. An important step RE requirements elicitation, which involves collecting project-related from different sources. Repositories reusable are typically sources an increasing number requirements. However, searching such repositories to collect time-consuming difficult perform accurately. Recommender systems have been widely recognized as effective solution problem. Accordingly, study proposes hybrid content-based collaborative filtering recommendation approach. proposed approach will support project stakeholders mitigating risk missing during elicitation by identifying related requirement repositories. experimental results on RALIC dataset demonstrate that considerably outperforms baseline filtering-based methods terms prediction accuracy coverage addition data sparsity cold-start item problems.
